RIMC Workshop Series : "Modelling and Forecasting in Research"

 

 

This is a one-day hands-on workshop using EViews software for modelling and regression analysis. Regression models are to explain relationships among variables to predict the actual outcomes and for forecasting purposes. This course  introduces  participants  to  the  basics  of time  series  methods  to be analysed,  interpreted and create model.  Its purpose is to aid in making decisions on the basis of numerical information. This workshop will use practical hands-on approach with real research data sets.

 

Evan LauAbout the Facilitator

Assoc. Prof. Evan Lau

is currently Associate Professor at the Faculty of Economics and Business, Universiti Malaysia Sarawak (UNIMAS), Managing Editor of International Journal of Business and Society (IJBS) and director of Centre for Business, Economics and Finance Forecasting (BEFfore). He teaches both the undergraduates and the graduate courses and actively research in Applied Macroeconomics and econometrics. To date, Evan Lau has more than 65 articles in refereed journals and has also presented his research works in many international and local conferences. As part of recognition and internationalization, he was cited as Top 10 Most Productive Malaysian Based Authors in Arts, Humanities and Social Sciences for the year from 2001 to 2010, published by the Malaysian Citation Centre (MCC) in 2012.
