9th Mini Film Festival

9th Mini Film Festival (9th MFF)

Date: 29 May 2013 (Wednesday)

Time: 7.30 – 11 p.m.

Venue: Experimental Theatre, FACA, UNIMAS

The Mini Film Festival is back for its 9th year!

In conjunction with CIPTA 2013, this annual award ceremony is organised by students from the Cinematography Programme of the Faculty of Applied and Creative Art (FACA), UNIMAS to recognise and celebrate the achievement of their fellow students in varied aspects of filmmaking. The event will be held in FACA’s Experimental Theatre at 7.30 p.m. on Wednesday, 29th May 2013.

In addition to the Cinematography Programme students, we have also invited students from Swinburne University of Technology, Sarawak and Universiti Malaysia Sabah (UMS) to participate.

The films nominated this year represent a variety of genres ranging from the martial arts film to documentary. Some depict the perseverance of traditional arts of Asia, while some show the perseverance of people both young and old in facing the struggles both small and great of everyday life.

This year, the organisers welcome attendees to enjoy a ceremony with the theme of “Magic and Fantasy”. The combination of these two elements hopefully offers inspiration for young filmmakers, while also taking our guests on a fantastic trip through a magical world.

The steering committee of this festival cordially invites all film lovers and patrons of the arts to attend this award ceremony. Admission is free. For further details, please contact Mr. Shahrul Affendi (013 – 490 1034) or Ms. Pramela Morgan (014 – 988 0619).
