Teaching and Learning Facilities

Teaching and learning facilities consist of studio and workshop furnished with equipment for fine art, painting and drawing, photography, ceramic, textile and fashion, graphic design, industrial design, animation design; video and film recording studio; music recording and MIDI studio; experiment theatre with 500 seats and an exhibition gallery. The computer labs facilities include multimedia labs, post-production, electronic art, animation, graphic design, CAD, video and film, and MIDI.

Dean’s Message


Welcome to the Faculty of Applied and Creative Arts (FACA), a dynamic and artistic innovative driven faculty formed in 1994 as part of UNIMAS’s mission and vision. Throughout its establishment, numerous outstanding recognition received and achieved on academic excellent and research outcomes, including the faculty flagship event such as ICACA, eCITRA, and CIPTA. The recognition and achievement has increased the faculty’s visibility nationwide.


In term of our curriculum, it was designed incorporating three important elements: art, technology and management. These elements are core to four departments: Visual Art and Technology, Design Technology, Performance Art and Production Technology, and Liberal Arts.


The Faculty is dedicated to inspiring artistic expression and creative activity on various art disciplines through innovative application of both practical and theoretical knowledge at undergraduate and postgraduate level. At present, six programmes at undergraduate level was offered which focuses to the area of Fine Arts, Design Technology, Music, Cinematography, Drama and Theatre, and Art Management.


The goal is to prepare and produce knowledgeable graduates with a multi-tasking and cross-disciplinary capability in the field of arts as well as for them to prepare for the challenges of a very complex 21st century environment. Therefore, Faculty is always providing opportunities for the students to embarked the successful journey in learning process.


Last but not least, feel free to explore the possibilities and opportunities offered by our faculty in academic studies, research and consultancy.
