Examination Rules

  1. Attendance in the Examination
    A student cannot be absent from an examination without prior approval from the Dean of the Faculty / Centre or the Director of the Institute, based on any relevant procedures. If circumstances do not permit prior permission to be obtained, students must convince and obtain approval from the Dean of the Faculty / Centre or the Director of the Institute, in accordance to any procedures in regards to their absence
  2. Conduct during the Examination
    The students are not allowed to:
    • Take any books, papers, documents, pictures or other objects, except as authorized by the examiner, into or out of an examination room, or receive any books, papers, documents, pictures or other objects from anyone else while in the examination room. While in the examination room, students can receive from the invigilator any books, papers, documents, pictures or other things that have been recommended by the examiner or the Board of Examiners, and is authorised by the Vice-Chancellor
    • Write or have written through any other person, or on any other parts of the body, or on his or her clothing, any information or diagram that may be relevant to the examination taken
    • Communicate with any other students during an examination by any means whatsoever;
    • Cheat or attempt to cheat or behave in a manner that can be interpreted as cheating, or attempting to cheat in an examination while the examination is being conducted
