Attention to All Graduate Students (New and Returning Students)

SEMESTER REGISTRATION FOR GRADUATE STUDENTS FOR SEMESTER 1, 2015/2016          

1.   Please be informed that the current semester (Intersession, 2014/2015 Session) will end on 30 August 2015. 

2.   Every student is required to go through Semester Registration for Semester 1, 2015/2016 Session.Below are relevant information and procedures for your attention:

  • Kindly inform us if you have been offered a scholarship by sending a verified copy of the offer letter. We shall then provide you with your reference number for you to activate your registration status;
  • For self-sponsored student, your bill reference number will be provided to you once semester fees are paid.
  • Please be reminded to register for your courses after you have completed your semester registration starting from 31 August until 6 September 2015 via

  • Upon registration, please use:

i.          your student number for username; and

ii.         your IC or passport number for password (provided no changes were done previously).

  • If you failed to access the above links please click the “Help me! I forgot my password” button;

 IMPORTANT NOTICE

For Research Students :

1. Please note that starting from this coming academic session 2015/2016, all research students will need to go through semester registrations for the two semesters only i.e. Semester 1 2015/2016 and Semester 2 2015/2016. Due to the fact that the academic session 2014/2015 was divided into three semesters, the balance of fees for the intersession will be carried forward to Semester 1 2015/2016 for those affected;

2. Maintenance Fee

Only students who have exceeded their minimum study duration are allowed to apply; and

  • ·      Application should be made within 1 month before the intended semester;
  • ·      Upon approval, Maintenance Fee total RM300/academic year, must be paid until your thesis has been approved by Senate;
  • ·      Please note that Recurring Fee (RM500.00) is charged annually;
  • ·      International students are charged Health Insurance annually; and
  • ·      Form can be downloaded from CGS website via http://www.postgrad.unimas.my/downloads/forms.html

  3. Notice of Thesis Submission

  •   Students should submit this form at least 3 months before they intend to submit their thesis;
  • The form must be submitted together with the Thesis Examination Fee receipt (RM1,000.00 for Master and RM1,500.00 for PhD). However, should the thesis requires a re-examination, the student is expected to pay this fee again for the next submission; and form can be downloaded from CGS website via http://www.postgrad.unimas.my/downloads/forms.html

For Coursework Students:

1. Please be reminded to register for your courses after you have completed your semester registration

2. For Returning Students:

(i) Students are required to make payment of the semester fee, register as student and register courses that are offered during Semester 1, Semester 2 and Intersession.

(ii) ONLY FOR MAIT Programme: Starting from this coming academic session 2015/2016, students will need to go through semester registrations for two semesters only i.e. Semester 1 2015/2016 and Semester 2 2015/2016. Due to the fact that the academic session 2014/2015 was divided into three semesters, the balance of fees for the intersession will be carried forward to Semester 1 2015/2016 for those affected.

IMPORTANT REGISTRATION INFO

Confirmation of Graduate Student Registration :

  • Semester Registration period starts from 31 August – 06 September 2015;
  • Late Semester registration fee of RM200.00 will be imposed after 06 September until 04 October 2015;(ONLY FOR RETURNING STUDENTS)
  • Coursework Programme (New and Returning Students): For late registration of courses which is done after the add and drop period, a penalty of RM200.00 will be imposed for each registered course. (Late registration period starting 21 September until 04 October 2015).
